Game sessions can go on for a long time. And I don’t just mean 2-3 hours long time. Some gaming sessions can last all night, or even the whole weekend. This is why good rest is important for gamers; you don’t want to pass out mid raid, after all.
Even games like World of Warcraft acknowledge the importance of rest, with characters earning more experience if they’re well rested. In most other games, resting, at the very least, restores all your health. With that in mind, let’s take a look at our favorite mattress types for getting rest:
One of the best mattress types, and not just for gamers! Memory foam, to paraphrase Dean Winchester, “remembers you”, keeping the shape of that super-comfy position you finally passed out it last night. This makes for a better, deeper, more restful sleep all around. In addition, memory foam tends to be more resistant to allergens, which is a great bonus.
These beds are designed to, well, adjust into different positions. This is great for helping out with respiratory problems and the like without having to rely on pillows. In addition, you can prop them up into deck chair style configurations for a very relaxing gaming experience! The only problem: the price tag. Expect to shell out a pretty penny for this marvel of comfort and relaxation.
Polyfoam Latex Hybrid
This one requires you to do a bit of research and perhaps some testing before purchase. These mattresses come in a range of different levels of firmness. This means that you need to have a good idea of what level firmness you want in order to get the most out of this mattress. Our recommendation: don’t get something too soft as that can lead to all sorts of unwanted aches and pains!
